Albir is a well-groomed city, with low buildings, wide streets, and beautiful nature spread all around the city, harmoniously combining modern trends and traditional Spanish style. Located in the municipality of Alfaz del Pi, it is one of the favorite places for recreation and life not only for Spaniards but also for foreigners from other countries, especially from the north of Europe.

Many Swedes, Norwegians, Danes, Dutch, Finns, and others prefer to live here from autumn to spring.  During the hottest months of summer, leave for their homeland. Therefore, during these months of active tourism, there is no feeling of overcrowding of beaches or restaurants, and in general, there is a feeling of measured life all year round.

The palm promenade, stretching from Albir to Altea along a wide and clean pebble beach, with a large number of cozy cafes and restaurants, is a favorite place for walking and relaxing for residents and guests of the city.

For lovers of active sea recreation, you can also find windsurfing rentals, a catamaran school, a diving center and a sea charter here. Raco del Albir Beach receives the EU Blue Flag every year for cleanliness, quality of services and first-class surveillance and rescue services. Since the city is surrounded by mountain ranges on three sides, strong winds and storms usually bypass it, and the sea has a gentle character. In Sierra Helada Natural Park, which, along a wide asphalt road built only in 1961, you can walk to the Faro de Albir a lighthouse located on the edge of the Sierra Helada. The route is about 5 km long. With picturesque views of the blue sea and mountains, the aroma of Mediterranean plants and trees, combined with fresh sea air attracts hikers all year round.
